Boekenhouthoek Quartz or amethyst cluster (Mpumalanga)

A natural quartz cluster from Boekenhouthoek in Mpumalanga, the well-known South African locality for amethyst and quartz. The piece is covered in small, sharp points with warm amber-orange to white and clear colouring, the orange appearing as coatings and inclusions across the crystal faces. It sits on a rough, multifaceted rock matrix and makes an attractive display specimen with plenty of sparkle and colour.
