A natural Pyrite crystal cluster from Thabazimbi, Limpopo — South Africa's classic iron and sulphide locality. The piece is made up of numerous small, angular, flaky crystals with a bright metallic brassy-gold lustre, some of which catch the light with silvery-grey reflections.
The crystals sit on a dark grey to black matrix visible in the crevices between them, giving the specimen strong contrast. It is a raw, unpolished piece in excellent natural condition, with the sharp, highly reflective faces pyrite is known for. A display-worthy addition to any mineral collection.
