Ruby colour jadeite faceted bead string, 2.4mm, 39cm

A strand of small faceted jadeite beads in a rich ruby colour – deep translucent red with pink highlights where the facets catch the light. Each bead is cut with flat polished facets all round, so the strand glows and shifts in tone as it moves. At just 2.4mm these are the finest beads in the jadeite range: light, delicate and perfect for multi-strand necklaces, fine bracelets, spacers and bead weaving, and they string beautifully with silver or gold.

Jadeite is one of the two minerals traded as jade; this strand is ruby coloured, giving the look of jade in a warm, jewel-red tone. As with any stone strand, the tone varies slightly from bead to bead and from one strand to the next.
